A woman decided against an expensive apartment on credit in the city and instead made her dream come true: she built her own house on the outskirts of the city, measuring just 13 m².

Lee Perra of Washington always dreamed of owning his own home, but the city’s high real estate prices made it unattainable. Despite her many years of work in construction, her income was not enough to fulfill this wish.

Determined to take her life into her own hands, Lee made a bold decision: she quit her job, foregone loans and instead built her own small country house.

Choosing to live outside the city allowed her to save significant costs. Although she had no formal construction training, she taught herself the necessary skills and completed the entire construction herself.

Your 13.5 square meter house was built from natural materials such as wood and stone and impresses with a Scandinavian design with fresh color accents. It offers everything she needs for a comfortable life: a bedroom, a functional kitchen, a bathroom and even a work area.

Lee is overjoyed with her new home, which allows her to live surrounded by nature and away from the hectic city life.

Tiny homes like Lee’s offer numerous benefits, including low cost, environmental friendliness and economical operation. They are ideal for people looking for a quieter lifestyle, savings or a new way of life.
